What are dry pure pigments?
Pure dry pigments are suitable for artists who want to mix their own paint or pastel. rather than using premixed versions. They are essentially colours reduced to their purest form. without any medium or binder. This allows artists to be involved in their creative process from the start and to add colours to any type of medium. as well as mix original colours.
Specifications:
- add in sparing amounts and mix thoroughly
- mixing with polyurethane will create a rich colour but will not change the colour of the pigment; it can then be used to paint and will produce a translucent rich colour
- pigments can be mixed with any paint to enrich or change colour (e.g. if you have red paint and wish to create purple. you could add a blue pigment)
- pigments can be mixed with melted wax for impasto painting or candle-making wax
- simple white glue can be used as a binder for a variety of crafting ideas
